It's terrifying. <br /><br />Not to be a total downer, but it reminds me of a recent conversation with friends who parent typically developing children. One asked me what my hopes were for E's future. I ended up discussing the fact that in some ways I hope to outlive him because the thought of him going on in this cruel world without me there advocating for him is absolutely terrifying. <br /><br />It is what it is.
